We really really hope you will hang out with us over there. We've got some great ideas in the works including articles on baby care, mom finds, mom style, celebrity buzz, modeling and acting jobs, craft ideas for kids, and so much more!

Do Your Kids Eat Snow?

A recent study suggests that possibly harmful bacteria is in the freshest fallen snow. After learning about this study I started thinking about whether or not I would allow my boys to continue eating snow. We have never allowed our kids to eat snow off of the ground but we have let them pick up snow off of something like a table or chair outside thinking that the snow there was cleaner. Our kids, like many others, have also turned their faces to the sky and let the snowflakes fall right into their mouths. Chances are that many of you, myself included, did just the same as kids and we turned out OK ;)

However, now research suggests that the snow is just plain dirty and that it may have harmful bacteria no matter how you eat it or where you eat it from.

My question is do you let your kids eat snow? What are your thoughts? Are we as parents being too cautious these days? Or have things changed so much that we need to be worried about such pollution?

Easy Kid Friendly Organic Spaghetti Recipe

We're slowing going organic in our household and I've come up with a super easy and delicious organic spaghetti recipe that I'd like to share with you.

Ingredients You Will Need:

large Jar premade Organic spaghetti sauce (we prefer the private selection & Bertoli brands)

whole wheat or regular think spaghetti noodles

1/2 lb ground beef

1/4 small onion or 2tsp onion flakes

parmesan cheese

salt & pepper

Directions:

Mix the ground beef with the onion and cook thoroughly. Then boil spaghetti noodles according to package directions. Add jarred spaghetti sauce to hamburger mixture and simmer on low for about 10 minutes.

Serve sauce over noodles and enjoy! This ia is a healthy organic spaghetti that is sure to please all kids young and old.

Our boys love the Arthur book series and while I was searching online for all things Arthur I came across a really fun Holiday game online where you can dress up D.W. (Arthur's sister) for all the different holidays celebrated during this time of the year.
