My 6 year old son has been getting quite frustrated lately when he is playing a game and can't get to where he wants to go or can't complete the task on the first try. I can hear his voice get shaky then tears most always follow.
I have tried to explain to him that I will help him and that it takes patience and practice to accomplish some tasks but he still gets frustrated and upset. I'm ok with him being upset and expressing his feelings. However, I'm just wondering how many other kids express this frustration and how do you, as parents, deal with it? How do I get him to understand that games are supposed to be fun and NOT stressful? Labels: 6 year old son, child, child frustrated, playing games
