The GermZapper Review

My family and I use hand sanitizers religiously. However, I recently found out about the issues with hand sanitizers possibly being dangerous due to the alcohol content as well as having the ability to create those bad super germs. You can read more about that here. So I went back to using plain old soap and water for a while.
A few days ago I was given the opportunity to try out a new alcohol-free hand sanitizer product called the Germ Zapper. We received it just in time to really test it out.

We all know how well hospitals (obviously) are known for germs and people getting sick just by visiting. Well, the day I received my GermZapper Atomizer Pen and foam in the mail, my husband was rushed to the ER and admitted to the hospital. We were in germ heaven. So we took the GermZapper Pen with us. It came in very handy and I was so surprised at the ease of use for our two young boys. One spray even provided up to 4 hours of protection! Wow!

While using the GermZapper hand sanitizer we didn't have that sticky feeling we normally get with most hand sanitizers nor did we experience any strange smells. I also found out that it was doubles as an effective first aid antiseptic for minor cuts. Another great addition to a great product.

Overall, my review of this product is absolutely positive and I recommend it to anyone with children. It's the smart hand sanitizer. It's the smart hand sanitizer because it is alcohol free, hypoallergenic, safe for children, promotes good bacteria, and improves skin condition. That's a lot of good stuff.

Naturally, it's going to be a little more expensive than your every day harsh hand sanitizers. But it's well worth the extra money. The GermZapper Atomizer Pen sells for around $3.99 and the foam sells for around $6.95. You can purchase these in stores and through the GermZapper website.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this product.

Moms, Beware of Hand Sanitizers

I was reading through the news today on Yahoo and came across this frightening story of how toxic hand sanitizers really are.

Now, I'm not saying that I was careless about hand sanitizers before but I sure didnt think about the toxicity on it and since we use hand sanitizers when we go out shopping our out to eat as a family because we don't want to catch every illness that is going around, this story really caught my attention.

Hand sanitizers are now being listed as intoxicants via the Poison Control center and for good reason. The article goes on to talk about how the alcohol in the hand sanitizer is like the alcohol in liquor. For the rest of the story go on over to the yahoo health news, but first tell us what you think here.

Do you use hand sanitizers on your children? Are you concerned about the potential for abuse by older children such as teens? Will you keep hand sanitizers in a different place now that you are more aware of the dangers of it or are doctors simply making too big of deal out of this?
